We do not take on commission work. We have a Ready to Post Drop every last Sunday of the month, where everything we have managed to get created that month goes up for sale at 8pm in Our Shop. As part of this, we also offer five pre-order slots for a very select list of our best-sellers. The pre-order slots are very limited and are only available for 24-hours or until all five have sold. Anything Ready to Post is one of a kind and will only be available in the shop until sold.
All items found in the shop include UK Signed For First Class Delivery with our delivery partner, Royal Mail. You are able to upgrade to Special Delivery, should you wish, during the checkout process. Some select overseas postage is available but due to current politics issues, we cannot currently post to the whole world like we wish we could. We are constantly revising this and hope to be able to add more destinations back soon.
We arrange delivery collections several times a week so Ready to Post items leave us within a couple of days. Pre-order slots are subject to their own conditions which you will find full details of and must agree to before purchasing.
Payment options are:
PayPal - Debit/Credit card, Guest or Account.
Stripe - Debit/Credit card.
BACS - This is a manual payment type which requires you to make the transfer yourself after checkout on the website. If you do not pay within the time specified, your order will be cancelled and added back to the shop. We are currently trialing this new payment option and, if it is not adhered to correctly, we will remove it. We are trusting our customers to play fair, please do not let us down.
Why do we do things this way?
As a neurodiverse family, artistic freedom is a must. To keep the balance happy and settled, we simply create whatever is working for our brains day by day, week by week. Very specific commission work causes too much stress and creates an unhealthy environment. Our pre-order list has been selected very carefully to keep the balance just right.
Tell us a bit about yourself?
We are Jem and Neil. We have been together since 2011 and married since 2019. We have two children, two cats, two guinea pigs and a praying mantis. We live in beautiful North Yorkshire surrounded by fresh air and stunning countryside. Jem runs No Forks as her full time job and Neil is an engineer/welder/fabricator for a local company on top of his role in No Forks. All four of us have ADHD and/or autism, we are a quirky little family who love fiercely and work hard. Life isn't always easy or straightforward but we never give up and we keep pushing forward. Jem's most favourite line is "One step at a time, one foot in front of the other. We're gonna' get through this, one way or another". We live by that ethos always.
How can we get in touch?
Pop us an email to [email protected] or a message on Facebook or Instagram.
Can we send our own cutlery to be made into something?
There isn't really a straightforward answer to this one. If you are purchasing a pre-order slot then yes, you can in certain circumstances. Your cutlery needs to be stainless steel only and we will need to discuss it in advance. Please email or message us with a photo of the cutlery you have and which pre-order item you wish to purchase and we will come to an agreement from there. No other commission work is accepted and if you cannot see the pre-order listing in the shop, you will need to wait until the following month when they will be replenished.
Do you accept cutlery donations?
Yes! We are always happy to accept cutlery donations or cover the costs of cutlery to be sent to us. We ask that anything you send is second-hand/used and must only be stainless steel. Please drop us an email or message to discuss further.
Are gift vouchers available?
At the moment, no but we may look to re-add them in the future.
I am a business customer.
Please contact us to discuss custom fabrication and engineering work. Neil is a highly trained welder/fabricator, both TIG and MIG. He has vast experience in all metal works including press-braking, laser/plasma, problem solving, engineering, CAD and much more. He has a strong work ethic and his workmanship is second to none. Jem has vast experience in a customer facing role with particular interest in writing and design. She is always happy to answer any queries and questions.
Tell us more about No Forks Given Fabrications(TM)?
We founded No Forks right back in 2017. We came across an awesome, huge lot of cutlery at a local carboot and it got the creativity flowing for both of us. From there, the rest really is history. We have worked hard to continually grow and improve, protect our business and designs with trademarking and build something we are incredibly proud of. All of our inspiration comes from the world around us. Nature is a beautiful, incredible thing and we love nothing more than taking a walk in the countryside, taking a moment to breathe, refresh and be grateful for what we do have. We try not to force creativity, we just head to the workshop when inspiration strikes.
Our corner of the internet and social media is a safe, welcoming, open place where everyone is welcome. As a family, we are very big on kindness, acceptance, respect and morals. If you are on the same wavelength, do come and join us. Anyone found to be upsetting the balance is removed and blocked very, very quickly. Our safe space will remain that always. Open ended, respectful conversations are always welcome but please remember, it is a delicate rope to walk and we will not allow excuses for any sort of behaviour we deem unacceptable in our space. Thank you.
