Theodore is ready to mount straight onto the wall, we have built a strong bracket into the back of the wood, however, you will need to provide any other hardware required. Theodore - Wall-mountable Showstopper Bird Sculpture - Ready to Post.

Introducing Theodore; our latest showstopper creation. This stunning piece has been carefully and delicately hand-crafted from only recycled cutlery in our family run Yorkshire workshop and then securely mounted onto a live edge, solid wood slice. Sustainably sourced British wood. We have built a stainless steel bracket into the back of the wood for wall-mounting ease. Who are we? We are just Jem and Neil, neurodiverse wife and husband, turning recycled materials into beautiful, original works of art. Each piece we create is a complete original. No two ever come together the same way due to the materials and processes we use and each piece is born entirely from our imaginations.

Theodore is a stunning bird. You will note, he has one of his beautiful knife "feathers" is his beak, preening himself as birds do. His head turn creates beautiful lines and curves and he features some gorgeous patterns to his tail and head. He sits atop a "branch" that we have created entirely from old cutlery handles and added texture and colour to to create a more natural "branch" effect. He is beautifully chunky at 1.35kgs all together and is full of character and charm.

The whole piece photographed above measures around 20cm tall at it's largest point and the whole piece sticks out from the wall by approximately 18cm.

Please only dust with a soft, clean cloth and avoid prolonged direct sunlight. The cutlery we use is stainless steel. The wood is hand-finished with Bee's wax. For indoor use only. You are able to use a stainless steel cleaner on the metalwork with a very soft, microfibre cloth, as and when needed. Please do not use any products on the wood due to the bee's wax and porosity, just a simple clean, soft cloth is perfect.

Live edge bases are prone to shedding small amounts of material/bark. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about. It is important not to pick at the wood and to just allow it to shed naturally. We keep finishing to a minimum on these pieces to enjoy and celebrate nature so they are incredibly rustic in places. If this isn't your thing, please do not purchase this piece. If you love how the undisturbed forest looks, this is a perfect piece for you. It's about less human intervention and more about celebrating nature and life and all it's perfect imperfections. This particular piece is missing some of it's bark in places from the natural process of cutting down the tree and creating smaller pieces. It is unlikely to lose any more if treated respectfully. Please ensure you take a good look at the photographs before committing to purchase.

Please do expect some small marks and imperfections given the handmade nature of this product and the materials we use. We are an upcycling business and do like to leave signs of previous life in the cutlery and snippets of nature in the wood. All cutlery used is second-hand, saved from the brink of landfill or melting, each piece tells a story of it's previous life and has the scars to show for it, we go through a heavy cleaning and polishing routine but, it would be immoral of us to remove all scars and memories. As above, we have chosen a rustic wood slice to finish off this sculpture so please expect some missing bark and some knots and imperfections in the wood, too.

This item is a delicate ornament and must be kept out of reach of children, pets and vulnerable people at all times. It is not to be used as a toy.
